It has taken me far too long to write this. I finished this book aaaaaages ago.
This is a classic. Made into a TV series and two films (I think).
A story about the Earth being blown up to make way for a space highway and Arthur Dent now hitchhiking with Ford Prefect after watching his world disappearing before his eyes
I loved the first book, and the last book. But, I must admit the second and third books, passed my by a little. They didn't capture me as well, and I'm not entirely sure what went on. It almost seemed it was written for the sake of being written.
However, the first and fourth books, were full of humour, which had me laughing out load. If taken into account the time these books were written, it is amazing to hear Douglas Adams describe an e-book, decades before they were made.
I would definitely recommend reading this, even if it is just book one.
Date finished: 28th August 2013
