Three women go to India.  Rose, marrying the handsome Jack who has been posted in India.  Tor, Rose's best friend and bridesmaid, looking for the love of her life.  Viva, their chaperon, who returns to the place of her childhood to collect a chest from her past.  The three girls have their own adventures - some bigger than other's.  All three are looking for love, even though one tries her utmost to avoid it.
This book is an amazing read, it never gets dull and captures you with the three story lines which intertwine frequently.  Although the end does leave an answered question....I hate unanswered questions!

This pulls at your heart strings with the story of Lynnie, a woman with a developmental disability which hinders her to speak, and Homan a deaf man with only his home sign language.
A retired teacher, Martha, discovers Lynnie and Homan on her doorstep on a raining evening with something she has to protect for the remainder of her life.  Martha tries to set off a series of events that will change the system so those with disabilities are helped rather than hidden away, changing Lynnie's and Homan's life.

The publishers of Chris Cleave's new novel "don't want to spoil" the story by revealing too much about it, and there's good reason not to tell too much about the plot's pivot point. So all I shall tell you is that what happens on the beach is brutal, and that it braids the fates of a 16-year-old Nigerian orphan (who calls herself Little Bee) and a well-off British couple — journalists trying to repair their strained marriage with a free holiday — who should have stayed behind their resort's walls.

Bartolomeo di Crespi, an Italian-American, Catholic, interior designer who's dream is to decorate his local church.  A complete roller coaster of a journey for this designer, which includes his family dynamics and life long engagement with Capri.
My favourite thing about this book is the recipes that the reader can give a go.....I definitely will!
